Drazhar

The Master of Blades

Drazhar is the senior Incubus of Commorragh — the title-holder of Master of Blades, which makes him the executioner-instructor of every Incubi shrine in the Dark City. He has held the title for an undetermined duration; the Drukhari refuse to discuss when he first appeared.

Incubi are the elite assassin-warriors of the Drukhari, hired by Archons as personal bodyguards or strike-team leaders. The Master of Blades is the foremost of these — the figure to whom every Incubus aspirant must, at some point in his training, present himself for evaluation. Those Drazhar approves of are inducted. Those he does not approve of are killed.

The Identity Question

The central mystery of Drazhar is whether he is Arhra — the original Father of Scorpions, the founding Phoenix Lord of the Striking Scorpions Aspect, who fell to Chaos in the early Aeldari period and was reportedly killed by his pupil Karandras.

The Aeldari record indicates Arhra fell rather than died. The Drukhari record indicates Drazhar emerged from the Webway approximately when Arhra would have, after the fall. The two figures use similar combat techniques. Karandras has, in the long fact-pattern, never publicly stated whether Drazhar is or is not his former teacher.

Drazhar himself has never spoken in any recorded engagement. He has never removed his armour in public. The question remains unresolved.

Method

Drazhar fights with two klaives — Incubi power-glaives carried in a two-blade-style that no other Incubus is permitted to copy. His combat speed exceeds, by Drukhari measure, any Aeldari or Drukhari currently active including Lelith Hesperax. He is, by the Drukhari arena-record, the closest thing the Dark City has to an undefeated entity.

He rarely engages outside formal Incubi contract work. When he does, the target generally does not survive long enough to be recorded as a target.

M42

Drazhar has been active in Era Indomitus realspace raids. He has been engaged by Karandras on at least one documented occasion; the engagement was inconclusive. He has been engaged by Imperial Custodes on at least one documented occasion; that engagement was also inconclusive.

The Imperial War Office classifies him as a Tier-A duelist threat. The Custodes maintain a contingency briefing for Drazhar engagement that the Imperium does not publicly distribute.
